Our Story

What does “Filthy Fives” mean?  It’s the combination of hockey slang and old school work ethic mantra.  In hockey, to have “filthy” moves is a compliment and “filthy hands” is a testament to a person’s stickhandling ability on the ice.  This is not accomplished by simply going to bed and dreaming about it.  It takes hard work and dedication to accomplish.  It’s the same idea of a willingness to “get your hands dirty” and put in the work.

What does Filthy Fives stand for?  We are a company that celebrates and promotes hard work and work ethic.  The setting of goals, and toiling towards them relentlessly.  Having the internal drive to roll up your sleeves and get the job done.  There is true dignity in reaching a goal through hard work.  Sometimes it is difficult and most days it would be easier not to try – but that’s not in your DNA and it’s not in ours.

Our mission is to keep strong work ethic alive as an example for the next generation.  To set the standard that toil pays and there is no such thing as a free lunch. To reignite the forgotten mentality that it is better to earn your keep than receive a hand out.  Success is built on uncompromising work ethic and we intend to keep that spirit alive.  The color of your collar does not matter – all that matters is that you are willing to put in the work!
